The rainy weather cleared just in time, and members of the clan Dandenell, various friends, and a special guest from South Africa all converged on Särdal to help celebrate the occasion.

The festivities commenced at noon on 11 July, and continued until sometime around 2 in the morning. (We had to give up after midnight.)

Meal service consisted of eight parts, featuring everything from pirogi at lunch to amazing smoked salmon at dinner, finishing off with varm korv (of course!) around midnight.
