We arrived at the end of June, right in the middle of a heat wave in Stockholm, which gave us the perfect excuse to eat lots of ice cream and stroll about the old city in the small hours of the night. Our first night was spent at the lovely Hostel af Chapman & Skeppsholmen, in the museum district.

Karl's cousin Filippa (along with her husband Erik and son Oskar) proved themselves gracious hosts, showing us around the usual tourist spots (Skansen), plus a first look at their new summer cottage.
